Mumbai, 11 August 2026: Maharashtra: Horrific accident in Satara Four youth were killed and two others were injured in a tragic road accident that took place on the Pune-Bangalore National Highway in Satara district of Maharashtra in the morning.
According to the police, this accident took place around night on the Satara-Pune lane of NH-48 at Shirwal in Khandala taluka. Due to the accident, traffic on this busy road was significantly disrupted.
A Highway Police official had said that the car was going from Pune to Satara when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle overturned along the divider and then went into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction.
According to the police, the vehicles involved in the accident were later removed from the road with the help of a crane and traffic was restored on the highway.
