India's leading automobile manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has reported total sales of 1,07,648 vehicles in August 2026. Compared to last year, the total sales of the company including exports have increased by 42 percent. Mahindra achieved this historic milestone on the back of strong demand for SUVs in the domestic market and a whopping 71 percent growth in exports.
Mahindra has sold 59,257 vehicles in the domestic utility vehicles segment, which is a whopping 50 percent increase from 39,399 units in August 2025. Total SUV sales including exports have reached 61,167 units. In the first five months of the current financial year (April to August 2026), Mahindra has sold 2,94,050 SUVs. This increase is due to the overwhelming response from customers to the updated Scorpio-N and BE 6 Sporteq.

Mahindra has also performed well in the commercial vehicles and three-wheeler segment. Small commercial vehicle sales reached 27,415 units, a growth of 22 percent. Also, the three-wheeler segment, including electric cars, saw sales of 14,922 units, up 42 percent from last year. Three-wheeler sales have registered a whopping 62 percent growth in the five months from April to August.

When it comes to exports, Mahindra shipped 6,054 vehicles abroad in August 2026, a jump of 71 percent. The company is now working on its upcoming new cars and will soon launch a compact SUV based on the Vision S concept and the premium BE7. Apart from this, a facelifted version of the 3-door Thar and the Scorpio-N Lifestyler coming in 2027 are also in the pipeline.
