Mahindra Scorpio-N Facelift: Will soon make a comeback with new look and advanced technology
Automobile Desk: Mahindra & Mahindra, which has established its strong presence in the Indian automobile market, is soon preparing to introduce its popular SUV Scorpio-N in a new and more modern form. The facelift model of this SUV, famous for its domineering presence on the roads of the country, will be launched in the market with many new design updates, premium cabin and state-of-the-art safety features. Auto experts believe that after this mid-life update, Scorpio-N will give an even tougher challenge to the competing vehicles in its segment.
Sportier and premium exterior
Some major and attractive changes will be seen in the exterior design of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift. The front grille has been redesigned while maintaining the vehicle’s muscular and bold road presence. Along with this, a new updated LED headlamp cluster and new pattern DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) will be provided, which will give the SUV a more sporty look from the front.

Changes can also be seen in the cut-and-curve of the front and rear bumpers of the car. Talking about the side profile, the newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels further enhance its look. At the same time, updated taillights and new reflectors are expected to be provided in the rear.
Hi-tech cabin equipped with technology
The interior of the new Scorpio-N will now be more modern, connected and comfortable than ever before. The biggest attraction inside the cabin could be its large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Along with this, a new fully-digital instrument cluster can also be provided, so that the driver will be able to easily get all the necessary data during the journey.
Keeping in mind the preferences of Indian customers, this time Mahindra can include the option of panoramic sunroof in it. Additionally, features like 360-degree HD camera, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting and premium sound system will make the cabin ambience even more luxurious. Improvements can also be seen in the finishing of the dashboard and cushioning of the seats.
Security will be equipped with Level-2 ADAS
On the safety front, Mahindra is working on making its flagship SUV more safe. There is a strong possibility of Level-2 ADAS technology being included in the new facelift model. Under this, hi-tech features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning and Blind Spot Monitoring will be available.
Along with this, features like 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), all-wheel disc brakes, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Hill Hold and Hill Descent Control will also be present as standard safety features.
Powerful Engine and Drivetrain
In terms of engine and performance, Mahindra will retain its existing reliable powertrain. It will continue to have the option of 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. Both these engines are known for their excellent power delivery and strong torque.
For transmission, the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox will be available. For off-roading enthusiasts, Mahindra’s famous 4X4 (4XPLOR) system will also be provided in the diesel variant.
Expected price and launch
Due to the addition of new features and technologies like ADAS, the prices of the facelift model may see a slight increase compared to the existing model. According to market experts, its starting ex-showroom price could start around ₹14 lakh and go up to ₹25.5 lakh for its top-end 4×4 variant.
