Two key variants of the XUV 7XO—AX7 DSL 2W 7S AT and AX7L DSL 4W 7S AT—were crash tested by Bharat NCAP. During this period, the car scored 30.76 out of 32 in the Adult Safety Test (AOP). As per Bharat NCAP parameters, a minimum of 27 points are required to achieve a 5-star safety rating, which this car easily crossed. It scored 14.76 out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test, while the car scored 100 percent in the side-movable barrier test. Apart from this, the structure of the vehicle proved to be completely strong in the side pole impact test also.

No stone was left unturned even in child safety

Child safety makes this SUV even more special for families. In the Child Occupant Protection (COP) category, this car scored an excellent score of 44.97 points out of 49. In the dynamic crash test, it got 23.97 points out of 24 and in the child seat mounting (ISOFIX) test, the car scored a full 12 out of 12 points. Child safety was tested during crash tests using ISOFIX anchors in the second row seats, where the child dummy suffered minimal impact during a collision.
