Major accident in Yashwadi Maruti temple of Maharashtra, roof of assembly hall collapsed, 7 people died

Mumbai: A major accident occurred on Saturday in Parbhani district of Maharashtra, when the roof of the assembly hall of the famous Maruti temple located in Yashwadi village suddenly collapsed. At the time of the incident, a large number of devotees were present in the temple premises, due to which an atmosphere of chaos was created. During the accident, about 7 people died due to being buried under the debris. Along with this, many other devotees are said to be injured.

When did this accident happen?

It is being told that since it was Saturday, a huge crowd of devotees had gathered in the temple for darshan and worship. At around 3:30 in the afternoon, the slab of the outer hall of the temple i.e. Sabha Mandap suddenly collapsed. As soon as the roof collapsed, there was a stampede among the people present there and many devotees got trapped under the debris.

Relief and rescue reached the spot

As soon as information about the incident was received, police, district administration and relief teams reached the spot, after which the rescue workers immediately started the rescue operation and started pulling out the people trapped under the debris. According to officials, so far about 25 people have been evacuated safely. The injured have been sent to nearby hospitals for treatment.

How many people are trapped in total?

The administration says that it is not yet clear how many people are trapped under the debris. Along with this, the number of seriously injured people is also being assessed. At present, the rescue operation is going on continuously and all necessary resources including ambulance have been deployed on the spot.

The local administration has appealed to the people not to pay attention to rumors and wait for official information. Officials say that after the completion of relief and rescue work, a detailed investigation of the incident will be done and necessary action will be taken.
