Major accident on Karnal Highway, 9 vehicles collided with each other, many devotees injured

Karnal Accident: A major road accident took place on Sunday near Tarawadi on the National Highway in Karnal. A total of 9 vehicles including two buses full of devotees going from Delhi to Panjokhara Gurudwara collided with each other. It is being told that the accident happened when a car moving ahead suddenly applied brakes, after which the vehicles coming behind collided one after the other.

As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and the injured were immediately sent to the hospital. Besides, the traffic on the highway was normalized by removing the damaged vehicles.

Eyewitness devotee shared information

According to the eyewitness devotee, the leading car suddenly applied brakes, due to which the two cars coming behind stopped in time. But after this the coming bus collided with the car. The second bus running behind it also collided with the first bus, while a taxi coming behind also got involved in the accident.

Condition of 2 to 3 devotees is critical

After the accident, there was chaos among the devotees traveling in the buses and screams spread on the spot. About 8 to 10 people have been injured in this accident, out of which the condition of 2 to 3 is said to be critical. All the injured have been admitted to the government hospital in Karnal.

Police engaged in further investigation of the case

After receiving information on dial-112, the police team immediately reached the spot. ERV incharge Anil Kumar said that this major accident happened due to the collision of vehicles one after the other. The police has completed the relief work and restored the traffic. Further action will be taken on the basis of investigation.
