Agra. Another big and sensational case of cyber thugs has come to light in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. Vicious criminals have lured a person by creating a web of fake identity and fake mobile numbers and committed a huge cyber fraud of ₹ 30 lakh. The fraudsters got this entire amount transferred directly to the bank account of a business firm through real time gross settlement. After such fraud incident, on the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered under relevant sections at Cyber Crime Police Station, Agra.

Trap laid through fake WhatsApp profile
According to information received from police sources, cyber criminals had used fake WhatsApp ID and mobile number to contact the victim. The fraudsters used profiles created on forged documents to hide their real identity so that the victims had complete trust in them. After this, the criminals pressurized the victim to send money immediately under some pretext or trick.
Send money to 'Jai Durga Enterprises' through RTGS
After falling into the clutches of these fraudsters, the victim transferred a huge amount of ₹ 30 lakh from his bank account through RTGS. Initial investigation has revealed that the entire amount has been credited to the account of a firm named 'Jai Durga Enterprises'. The police are now investigating whether this firm is real or the swindlers had opened a fake 'Mule Account' in someone else's name to siphon off the defrauded amount.

Cyber police station busy investigating money trail
Considering the seriousness of the matter, Agra Cyber Crime Station Police has immediately started investigation. Police officials say that the transaction details and route of money transfer are being scrutinized by contacting the bank, so that the defrauded amount can be frozen before further transfer. Along with this, fake mobile numbers and IP addresses used in the crime are also being traced.
