It is being told that, rebel TMC MPs Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, Sudip Bandopadhyay and Shatabdi Roy and other leaders met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. These rebel MPs have made a formal demand to make arrangements for themselves to sit separately inside the Lok Sabha. The rebel group claims that 20 to 22 out of 28 TMC Lok Sabha MPs are present with them. They have appealed to the Lok Sabha Speaker to recognize them as the real TMC legislative party within the Parliament.
Long meeting held at Bhupendra Yadav’s residence
Rebel TMC MPs held a long meeting with BJP’s West Bengal in-charge and Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav in Delhi. Sayani Ghosh and Mala Roy were also present during this meeting. Let us tell you that during the elections, the biggest discussion in Bengal was about Sayani Ghosh, who was lashing out at BJP. At the same time, now he has also changed sides.
Will give our support to BJP
Legally, it is impossible for any ‘separate group’ to get direct recognition in the House. In such a situation, to save their MP, rebel TMC MPs have announced to merge with ‘Nationalist Citizens Party’. Although no official announcement has been made yet regarding this merger, it is being seen as the strongest option.
