After all the work done throughout the day, drinking tea peacefully in the evening is the most relaxing time of the day for everyone. When the first sip of hot tea is taken after a tiring day, both the mind and body feel completely fresh. We all like to drink tea, but we often get confused about what to have with it for breakfast. Most of the people are lazy and eat things like biscuits, chips or fried samosas.
No matter how delicious all these things may seem to eat, but when consumed daily, they become boring within a few days. At the same time, flour and sugar present in it harm our health. If you too are bored of eating one breakfast every day and want to enjoy evening tea without compromising on your health, then these 5 instant and healthy snacks are the best option for you.
Best option if you are short of time: Roasted Makhana and Singadana
If you are short on time and want to eat some light yet nutritious breakfast, then roasted makhana and carom seeds are the perfect choice. To make it, heat one teaspoon of desi ghee in a pan. Add half cup of carom seeds to it and cook on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes. Then add 2 cups of buttermilk and cook on low flame for 5 to 7 minutes while stirring continuously. When the makhana breaks with a crunchy sound when pressed with hands, turn off the gas, add half teaspoon salt, half teaspoon pepper powder and one teaspoon chaat masala and mix well. Apart from being tasty, this snack gives instant energy to the body.
If you feel hungry in the evening, make: Bread Soji Toast
If you are feeling hungry in the evening and feel like eating something crispy then it is very easy to make bread soji toast. Prepare ghat kheer (paste) by adding half a cup of semolina, 3 to 4 spoons of fresh curd, chopped pickled onion, tomatoes, green chillies, green coriander and salt as per taste in a vessel. Leave this paste for 5 minutes so that the semolina swells. Then apply this mixture on bread slices on one side, put some butter or oil on the pan and fry from the semolina side. Roast until golden and crispy on both sides and serve hot with chutney or sauce.
Much better than packaged namkeen: Paunwano Homemade Chevdo
Homemade Chevda is more beneficial for health than eating packaged salty snacks. You can also make it in larger quantities and store it in an air tight container. Take 2 cups of thin pav in the pan, heat it slowly and take it out in a dry shakey plate. Now heat 2 spoons of oil in the same pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and half a cup of carnation. Then add flattened turmeric and salt, immediately add shaken pav and mix gently. Turn off the gas after cooking for 2 minutes. After cooling, this chevdo becomes very crunchy and tasty.
If you want spicy taste: Crispy Corn Chaat
If you want to eat some sweet, sour or spicy snack with tea, then Corn Chaat is an excellent option. To make it, boil one and a half cup sweet corn in sweet water for 5 minutes. After draining the water, take the corn in a bowl and add chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies and coriander to it. Add roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, sanchal (black salt) and 2 spoons of lemon juice and mix. As colorful as this chaat looks, it is equally light and tasty to eat.
When a guest arrives suddenly: अद्-मग पापद चात
Add-Mag Papad Chaat is best for making an impressive breakfast in minutes when friends suddenly arrive in the evening. This recipe can be made in just 2 to 3 minutes. For that, take 2 papads made from a mug of dal. Spread chopped pickled onions, tomatoes and small pieces of buffalo potatoes on Shakeela Papad. Top with green chillies, chaat masala, lemon juice, finely chopped sev and green coriander and serve Bhabharavai immediately.
