Mamata Banerjee’s big attack on the Center and the Election Commission on the issue of SIR, said – ‘Discussion started after the attack’. – ..

West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee has once again made a scathing attack on the functioning of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and the Election Commission. The TMC supremo claimed that initially no one paid any attention to the issue of ‘SIR’ in the country, but when her party raised its voice against it from West Bengal and started fighting, it was only then that a debate broke out on it at the national level.

Mamata Banerjee strongly alleged that the Election Commission was ordering systematic weakening of voters’ rights and making them disappear, for which she personally held the CEC the subject of sharp criticism. He said that the people will never forgive those who have started a vicious cycle of depriving the citizens of the country of their democratic rights.

Talking about the opposition’s strategies and the electoral process, Mamata Banerjee said that when the process related to SIR was completed in Bihar, parties like Congress and RJD had raised the issue of removing names from the voter list, but by then it was too late. He said that in such cases there is a need to understand every detail very closely.

Referring to the West Bengal Assembly elections, the Chief Minister made serious allegations that during the elections, security personnel were sent from door to door and voters were threatened so that they did not vote in favor of TMC. He claimed that in the areas where TMC had won, the names of voters in the largest number were removed from the voter list in a planned manner. He also raised strong questions on the immunity (security) provisions given to the election commissioners in 2023.

Mamata Banerjee took an aggressive stand against the top officials of the Election Commission while sharing her experiences at the recent ‘INDIA Alliance’ meeting. He alleged that a game of ‘vote theft’ has been played on a large scale in the electoral process and after the results of the West Bengal elections, a despicable attempt was made to destroy all the concrete evidence by burning the EVM machines.

Mamta Banerjee bluntly warned that if Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar does not immediately resign from his post, then all the opposition parties together will create a huge mass movement at the country level. He made it clear that the people of Bengal and the opposition parties will continue to fight till the last breath to protect the voting rights of the citizens.
