Material
Raw or lightly ripe mango – 1 (cut into thin slices or cubes)
Cucumber-1(chopped)
Onion-1(in thin slices)
Tomato-1(chopped)
Green chilli finely chopped-1
a little coriander
Roasted peanuts or cashews – 1 tablespoon
Lemon juice-1 tsp
salt-as per taste
black pepper or chaat masala
A little honey or jaggery syrup (if you like sweet taste)
Method
- Add mango, cucumber, onion and tomato in a large bowl. Add green chilli and green coriander to it.
- Add salt, black pepper/chaat masala and lemon juice on top.
- If you want mild sweetness, add some honey. Finally add peanuts or cashews and mix well. Cool and serve.
Tips to enhance taste
- If you want, you can also add mint leaves in it.
- Add red chilli flakes for spicy flavour.
- It can also be served with grilled cheese or sprouts. This salad helps in keeping the body hydrated in summers and looks very refreshing.
