Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch a new facelift model of its popular car Baleno in the premium hatchback segment of the Indian automobile market. The company has finalized the launch date of the upcoming facelift and it will be officially unveiled soon. In the new avatar, Baleno has not only been given an aggressive front look, but will also see many major upgrades in terms of cabin features and safety.

What will change in design and exterior?
The biggest change in the new facelift of Maruti Baleno will be found in its front fascia. The car is being given a re-designed grille, sporty bumper and new three-point LED DRLs. Along with this, the company is adding new 16-inch alloy wheels to freshen up the side profile. The rear profile with revised LED taillamps and a new rear bumper will give the car a premium presence on the road.
Improvements in interior, tech and safety features
Inside the cabin, Maruti has further improved the dashboard layout and material quality. New technology and comfort features have been added to the car:
- 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system (with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay)
- 360-degree HD camera and heads-up display (HUD)
- 6 airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and hill-hold assist as standard safety
- Rear AC vents and updated automatic climate control
Engine and Gearbox
Talking about mechanical changes, the existing 1.2-litre K-series DualJet petrol engine will be retained in the car, which generates 89 bhp power and 113 Nm torque. For transmission, it will have the option of 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT (AGS) gearbox. Additionally, a factory-fitted S-CNG variant will also be made available for better fuel efficiency.

When will it be launched and what will be the price?
According to sources close to the company, the new Baleno facelift will be put on sale in the Indian market during the upcoming festive season. Due to the new updates and additional safety features, the starting ex-showroom price of the car may see an increase of ₹ 15,000 to ₹ 30,000. The current model starts at ₹6.66 lakh (ex-showroom).
