Maruti CNG-AMT automatic variant: Maruti's CNG AMT automatic variant launched, know features and engine power

Maruti CNG-AMT automatic variant : Maruti Suzuki India, under its new 'Auto Green Mission', has launched automatic S-CNG variants of the Swift, DZire and Baleno, which come with a CNG powertrain mated to an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).

The company said that the mileage of Dezire S-CNG AMT is 36.47 km/kg, while the mileage of Swift and Baleno is 35.34 km/kg and 34.47 km/kg respectively.

All three models are powered by a 1.2-litre Z12E engine, which has a 5-speed AMT with Dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and Idle Start-Stop Technology. This transmission allows manual gear changing even without the clutch pedal. Apart from mileage, there has been no change in its other features and engine power.

Maruti Suzuki said sales of its S-CNG vehicles grew 58 percent year-on-year in the first quarter, while July recorded its highest ever monthly S-CNG sales at 83,000 units.

In the CNG model of people's most favorite hatchback Maruti Suzuki Swift, customers have now been given the great option of AMT automatic gearbox. Its on-road price in Mumbai starts from Rs 7.92 lakh. This variant is available for sale in the market in VXi, VXi(O) and ZXi trims. Like its regular manual model, this car works on a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine.
