Maruti Jimny Price Hike— Maruti Jimny, a 5-door SUV known for its strong off-roading capability in the Indian automobile market, has now become a little more expensive to buy. Maruti Suzuki has increased the prices of its lifestyle SUV with immediate effect. The company had already indicated to increase the prices of its cars due to increase in input costs, after which now the new rates have been implemented on all variants of Jimny.

Maruti Jimny: How much has the price increased according to the variant?

The company has changed the prices of both the major variants of Maruti Jimny – Zeta and Alpha. Under this amendment, there has been a uniform increase of Rs 1,500 in the ex-showroom prices of all manual (MT) and automatic (AT) variants. After this slight increase, the starting ex-showroom price of Jimny now starts from Rs 12.75 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.80 lakh for the top model.

No change in engine and off-road features

Apart from this increase in prices, there has been no change in the mechanical or cosmetic features of the car. Maruti Jimny gets the same 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder K-series petrol engine as before, which generates maximum power of 104.8 PS and peak torque of 134.2 Nm. This vehicle comes with 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox options. For rough roads and off-roading, it comes standard with Maruti’s signature ALLGRIP PRO 4×4 system with low-range transfer gear.
