Instead of expensive commercially available skincare products, natural home remedies can enhance skin without harming it. 1. For Dead Skin Cells and Glow: Masoor Dal Face Pack
Lentil face pack is a great option for internal cleansing of the face and bringing back the lost glow.
Ingredients required: 2 tbsp masoor dal, 1 tbsp milk and 2-3 drops of rose water.
Preparation and application: Soak 2 tablespoons of lentils in water overnight. In the morning, grind them finely and add 1 tablespoon of milk and 2-3 drops of rose water. Apply the prepared paste to your face for at least 20 minutes . Then, massage gently and rinse with plain water.
2. To stop the effects of aging: Masoor Dal Anti-Aging Cream
Whether it is the appearance of wrinkles on the skin at a young age or maintaining firm skin with increasing age, this natural cream made at home proves to be helpful.
Ingredients required: 5 tbsp masoor dal, 3-4 drops rose water, 1 vitamin E capsule, 1 tsp aloe vera gel and 2 tsp glycerin.
Preparation and application: Soak lentils in rose water overnight. The next day, grind them into a fine paste in a mixer. Mix glycerin, aloe vera gel, rose water, and the oil from a vitamin E capsule into this paste. Store it in an airtight container and apply it to your face every morning and evening.
3. To remove tanning and blemishes: Lentil scrub
This exfoliating scrub is very effective in removing tanning and stubborn spots on the face due to sun and pollution.
Ingredients required: 2 teaspoons masoor dal powder (coarse), 1 teaspoon raw milk or curd and 1/2 teaspoon honey.
How to prepare and apply: Make a paste by mixing coarse lentil powder with raw milk (or yogurt), and honey. Apply to the face and massage gently in circular motions for 5 minutes . Leave on for another 5 minutes and then rinse with plain water.
Take these precautions in skin care
Although lentils are completely natural, those with sensitive skin should always do a patch test on their hands or neck before using them on their face. Using any home remedy two to three times a week is usually sufficient.
