This trend started during the COP28 summit held in Dubai in the year 2023, when Meloni posted a selfie with Prime Minister Modi and wrote the caption – ‘Good friends at COP28 #Melody’. This hashtag became a global internet trend in no time.
When PM Modi gifted ‘Melody’ toffee to Melonie
Seeing the ‘Melody’ hashtag being discussed around the world, PM Modi gifted a packet of Melody toffee to Meloni during his visit to Rome. Regarding this gift, Meloni shared a video on Instagram, in which she laughingly said, “Prime Minister Modi has brought a gift for us. Very tasty toffee.” The video took the internet by storm and garnered over 100 million views within just six hours of being posted online. Currently this video has received more than 13 million likes.
