Mirzapur The Movie Box Office Collections Hit Rs 181 Crore

Mirzapur: The Movie continues to assert its dominance at the Indian box office, raking in an approximate Rs 13.25 crore nett on its second Sunday.

This latest Sunday haul brings its robust second-weekend total to around Rs 36.25 crore nett, lifting the film’s ten-day cumulative domestic collections to a staggering Rs 181.25 crore nett.

The film experienced a 60 percent drop during its second weekend compared to its monumental opening weekend. While this marks a decent-to-good hold given its historic start, the weekend trajectory displayed an unusual pattern.

Countering standard box office trends where weekends peak on Sundays, the movie witnessed a minor dip on Sunday compared to Saturday. Industry experts say the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Maharashtra may be partly responsible for this trend, but northern regions, where the festival has less impact, also saw normal growth.

Despite the unexpected slowdown over the weekend, the film’s strong opening week has helped its overall performance. The Rs 250 crore nett mark, which once seemed almost certain after a strong opening Monday, now looks harder to achieve.
