Miscreants fired on warehouse guard, injured due to shrapnel.

Gosaiganj. Late Saturday night, miscreants opened fire on the guard on duty at Ansal Ware House in Sushant Golf City area. Guard Pankaj Yadav was injured due to bullet fragments. There were shrapnel wounds in his upper abdomen and near the eyebrow of his right eye. The injured was admitted to the hospital for treatment, where his condition is said to be out of danger.

As soon as information about the incident was received, ADCP South Ralla Palli Vasanth Kumar, ACP Gosaiganj Rishabh Yadav and Sushant Golf City Police reached the spot. The police inspected the spot and started searching for the miscreants.

According to Inspector Sushant Golf City Rajeev Ranjan Upadhyay, Pankaj Yadav, resident of Udvatkheda, Gosaiganj and other guards were doing duty in the warehouse located in Ansal area. Meanwhile, a rattling sound was heard from behind the warehouse. The guards tried to get information by calling from some distance. On reaching the direction of the sound, a miscreant present there opened fire with a pistol. The shrapnel emanating from the firing hit Pankaj Yadav and he fell on the ground.

After the firing the miscreants fled from the spot. Police have registered a case against two unknown miscreants in the case. ADCP South said that three police teams have been formed to identify and arrest the accused. Along with searching for suspicious persons, the teams are also scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed around the spot.
