Missile attack on LPG tanker near Hormuz Strait, 28 Indians were on board, embassy gave big information

New Delhi: During the attack on the LPG tanker in the Iranian waters on Friday, 28 Indian sailors were aboard the ship. It is a matter of relief that all the Indian crew members are safe. The Indian Embassy in Tehran informed on social media platform X that LPG tanker ‘Disha’, running under the flag of Mozambique, was targeted. Despite the attack, all the Indian crew members present on the ship are safe. The embassy said that necessary steps are being taken for the safety of Indian citizens.

According to Forward Siemens Union of India, an organization of Indian maritime workers, the tanker was attacked by an unidentified missile near the Strait of Hormuz. At the time of the incident the ship was moving towards the Persian Gulf. However, it is not yet clear which organization or country is behind this attack. The concerned agencies are gathering information about the matter and the incident is being investigated. The identity of the attacker has not been officially confirmed.
