Lucknow. Bharatiya Janata Party has officially announced the new team of National Executive under the leadership of its National President Nitin Naveen. Keeping in mind the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections to be held in the coming year 2027, BJP has made big and very strategic changes in its new list.
The main objective of the party is to woo the voters of all the communities of the state and especially to strengthen its hold among the Muslim voters. Under this strategy, in this new team, two prominent Muslim faces of Uttar Pradesh—Professor Tariq Mansoor and Kunwar Basit Ali—have been assigned important responsibilities at the national level.
Academic veteran Prof. Tariq Mansoor again becomes National Vice President
The party has given a big responsibility to Professor Tariq Mansoor, former Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and currently a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council (MLC), by retaining him on the post of National Vice President.
Tariq Mansoor has been a well-known and respected face in the academic world. He has served as Professor in the Department of Surgery, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh and has also been a member of the Padma Award Committee 2023. In political circles, he is considered a big 'intellectual face' of the party. Experts believe that through him, BJP is trying to increase its acceptance and popularity especially among 'Pasmanda Muslims'.
Grassroots leader Kunwar Basit Ali gets command of minority front
Kunwar Basit Ali, who has been continuously active at the grassroots level in the organization, has been given a big promotion by the Bharatiya Janata Party and appointed as the National President of the Minority Morcha. Before this, he had successfully fulfilled his responsibilities as the State President of Uttar Pradesh BJP Minority Morcha.
Basit Ali has successfully led many important campaigns for the party like 'Qaumi Chaupal', 'Modi Mitra' and 'Yoga sessions in Madrassas and Dargahs'. Recently, when National President Nitin Naveen came on a visit to Uttar Pradesh, Basit Ali had ably handled the important responsibility of coordinating and meeting the Muslim community. The party has once again expressed deep confidence in his organizational skills.
BJP's big bet for 2027 assembly elections
Assembly elections are to be held in the year 2027 in Uttar Pradesh, the country's largest state, where the ruling party is trying hard to score a hat-trick of victories at any cost. Both Professor Tariq Mansoor and Kunwar Basit Ali are considered very popular and influential faces in the political scene of Uttar Pradesh and among the Muslim community.
By including these two leaders in its national team, BJP has given a clear message that in the upcoming elections it is going to leave no stone unturned to make a dent in the traditional vote bank of the opposition parties, especially the Samajwadi Party.
