The issue of construction of drain and interlocking by the Nagar Panchayat allegedly using government funds in the private DAV school campus located in Obra Nagar Panchayat area has started gaining momentum. Regarding this, Kanhaiya Lal Keshari, resident of Ward No. 11, has given a complaint letter to the District Magistrate demanding an impartial investigation into the matter and a ban on the construction work.

The complainant has mentioned in his complaint letter that what is the legal basis for carrying out construction work in a private school campus with the government funds of Nagar Panchayat and at what level permission has been given for it. He has demanded investigation of the records related to approval of construction work, budget, executing agency, board proposal and public utility.

In the course of the complaint, it was said that if the construction work is not as per the prescribed rules and statutory approval, then the role of the concerned officers should be investigated while fixing the responsibility for the use of government funds. The complainant has also requested the District Magistrate to conduct an on-site inspection and stop the construction work until the investigation is completed.

Regarding this matter, questions are being raised on the use of government funds and the implementation of development plans of Nagar Panchayat in private school premises. Now it remains to be seen how seriously the district administration takes the complaint and gets the investigation done and what action is taken on the basis of the relevant records.
