The start of the stock market today was mixed. As soon as the market opened on Thursday, there was slight pressure on bank shares, while there was a rise in IT shares. At 9:15 am on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the Sensex was up 15.24 points, or 0.02 per cent, at 73,261.27. BSE Bankex fell 45.92 points or 0.08 percent to 60,960.41. Apart from this, BSE Focused IT Index remained the leader. It increased by 336.48 points or 0.89 percent to reach 38,140.47.
At the same time, the market on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also remained around the green mark. At 9:16 am, Nifty-50 was up 7.25 points or 0.03 percent at 22,706.10. Nifty Bank fell 40.50 points or 0.07% to 54,226.90. Nifty Next 50 gained 0.16 percent. Nifty Financial Services fell 0.22 percent to 24,363.35.

How was the condition of the companies?
Mixed trading was seen on BSE till 9:46 am on Thursday. Of the 30 Sensex stocks, 16 were in the rise and 14 were in the decline. The fastest growth was in Adani Ports. It rose 2.35 percent to Rs 1,800.40. PowerGrid was up 1.65 percent and Reliance was up 1.54 percent. Kotak Bank saw a rise of 1.47 percent, Titan saw a rise of 1.30 percent and NTPC saw a rise of 1.09 percent.
There was buying in IT shares. TCS rose 0.94 per cent, Infosys 0.84 per cent, Tech Mahindra 0.23 per cent and HCL Tech 0.21 per cent. Trent was at the forefront of the decline. It fell 1.90 percent to Rs 2,852.70. Bajaj Finserv was down 0.98 per cent, L&T 0.97 per cent, Asian Paints 0.92 per cent and Maruti 0.86 per cent. HDFC Bank and Eternal fell 0.52 per cent.
Movement in banking stocks was mixed. Kotak, SBI and ICICI Bank rose. Axis Bank (0.21 per cent) and HDFC Bank fell. Finance companies were under pressure, Bajaj Finance fell 0.28 percent and Bajaj Finserv fell 0.28 percent. Tata Steel was down 0.38 percent and UltraTech was down 0.34 percent.
How was the opening of Jio Platforms?
Jio Platforms shares rose a lot this morning. At 9:16 am it was up 4.17 percent. The price was running at Rs 1,476.60. Yesterday it closed at Rs 1,417.50, i.e. a rise of about Rs 59 was seen. Today it opened at 1,445.90 and then climbed up to 1,478.80.
What is the price of gold and silver?
In the bullion market at 10:10 am on Thursday, gold stood at Rs 143,930 per 10 grams. Whereas silver fell by Rs 1,590 to Rs 193,400 per kg. Today 24 carat gold is being sold at Rs 14,393 per gram. The price of 22 carat is Rs 131,936 and that of 18 carat is Rs 107,948 per 10 grams. The price of one tola 24 carat gold is Rs 167,877.
Apart from this, silver of 999 purity stood at Rs 193,400 per kg in the bullion market at 10:10 am on Thursday. The price of 10 grams of silver was Rs 1,934 and that of 100 grams was Rs 19,340. One tola silver is worth Rs 2,256. Whereas 925 sterling silver remained at Rs 178,895 per kg. Silver of 900 coins stood at Rs 174,060 per kg and 800 German silver stood at Rs 154,720 per kg.
