Beena, who reached India after getting married as per Hindu customs in Dubai, observed a Nirjala fast of Karva Chauth for the first time for the long life of her husband.

The love story of 28-year-old Bina Ramnani, resident of Mirpur Khas, Sindh province of Pakistan, and Akash Aswani, resident of Bharatpur, Rajasthan is an example of this. Both of them met on Instagram about eight years ago. Gradually friendship turned into love and both decided to get married.
It was not easy for both of them to meet due to tense circumstances between India and Pakistan and visa related problems. In such a situation, on June 6, 2024, both of them got engaged online virtually. After this they had to resort to a third country for marriage. After completing all the legal and paper procedures, on May 24, 2025, Beena and Akash took seven rounds as per Hindu rituals in Dubai.
After marriage, Beena had to wait for a visa to come to India. Finally, in February 2026, she got an Indian visa and reached her husband's home in Bharatpur. Beena, an electronic engineer by profession, is now experiencing her new life and Indian traditions closely.
This time Karva Chauth was very special for her, because for the first time in India she observed Nirjala fast for her husband Akash. Due to this festival, there is a festive atmosphere in his house for the last one week. Bina is showing mehendi, puja preparations and rituals related to this special day to her sisters and family living in Pakistan through video call.
According to Beena, Karva Chauth is not just a tradition for her, but a symbol of love and dedication. They believe that wives keep fast for the long life of their husbands, but if the husband also keeps fast with his wife, then this relationship of mutual love and dedication can become more beautiful.
