Light to moderate rainfall was recorded in many districts, while heavy rains at some places provided relief to people from the heat and humidity. The Meteorological Department estimates that the rain may continue in the coming days.
Possibility of heavy rain in many districts
According to the latest forecast of Meteorological Centre, Patna, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many districts of Bihar on July 18. Orange alert has been issued for Rohtas, Kaimur (Bhabhua), Bhojpur, Buxar, Arwal and Aurangabad districts of south-west Bihar. There is a possibility of thunderstorm and lightning along with heavy rain at many places in these areas.
Danger of strong wind and lightning
The Meteorological Department has warned that strong winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in the affected areas. Along with this, there is also a possibility of thunder and lightning. In such a situation, people have been advised to stay away from open places, trees and electric poles during bad weather.
Chances of heavy rain in these districts also
According to the forecast, heavy rains may occur in some areas of Aurangabad, Kaimur, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Rohtas, Sitamarhi and West Champaran. At the same time, the effect of rain and strong winds along with thunderstorms can be seen in many districts of North-West, North-Central and South-East Bihar.
Alert in Patna and surrounding districts
The weather patterns will also change in the capital Patna and its surrounding districts. Yellow alert has been issued for Patna, Nalanda, Jehanabad, Nawada, Gaya, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura and Begusarai. There is a possibility of bad weather with light to moderate rain, strong wind and thunder at many places in these areas.
