Pune: Pune District Metropolitan Badminton Organized on behalf of the association (PDMBA) and under the approval of BWF, BA, BAI and MBA in memory of Sushant Chiplakatty, Pune Mayor Trophy Yonex Sunrise Indian Kumar International Grand Prix Under 19 Badminton Tournament, Dev Ruparelia of Mumbai won the title in boys singles and Ishita Negi of Delhi won the title in girls singles.P.E. Top seed Dev Ruparelia defeated 16th seed Nischal Chand of Uttarakhand 21-16, 21-16 in the boys' singles final of the tournament at the Badminton Hall at Society's Modern PDMBA Sports Complex, Shivajinagar. This match lasted for 46 minutes.
Dev was aggressive from the start and took a 21-16 lead in the first game. In the second game, there was a tight fight between the two players. When Dev was leading 18-16, Nischal had a service fault. Taking advantage of this, Dev retained the lead and won the second game 21-16 to seal the title. He is studying in 12th standard at Dev Kanchan School and practices under coach Nitish Kumar at Nitish Badminton Academy in Mumbai.

Pawan-Puneet Suresh pair win men's doubles
In the men's doubles final, India's Pawan Suresh and Puneet Suresh defeated Indonesia's Arybaka Okta Disabian and Muhammad Jilazik Artando Zakaria 25-23, 21-19. In this 32-minute match, the Indian pair took the lead in both games at crucial moments to seal the title. In the mixed doubles final, Indonesia's Muhammad Jilazik Artando Zakaria and Afijah Rahmadhani defeated India's Punit Suresh and Deepak Raj Aditi 24-26, 21-17, 21-16 to clinch the title.

Thailand pair win in girls' doubles
In the girls' doubles final, Thailand's Chantharat Marndakul and Purploy Suttivarayanon defeated fourth seeded India's Dia Bhimaiah and Keerthi Manchala 21-15, 21-11. In this match which lasted for 34 minutes, the Thai pair dominated from the start and won the title. Pune Mayor trophy and cash prizes were awarded to the winners and runners-up of the competition. Prize distribution was done by Chandrakant Patil, Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Textiles and Parliamentary Affairs, Pune Mayor Manjusha Nagpure, MLA Siddharth Shirole, Sundar Shetty, Girish Natu, Manjusha Sahasrabuddhe and Yonex Sunrise's Balkishan Chaudhary. PDMBA President Anirudh Deshpande, Senior Vice President Shashank Halbe, General Secretary CA Ranjit Natu, Joint Secretary Anand Joshi, Treasurer Sarang Lagoo, Competition Coordinating Secretary Rajeev Bagh, Mihir Ratanjankar, Vice President Avinash Jadhav and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
