According to the police, during the procession some people were allegedly given capsules pretending to be vitamins. After eating these, his health deteriorated, after which the police was informed. During the investigation, the police seized suspicious capsules and claimed that their testing revealed the presence of zinc phosphide.

For how many days were you preparing?

According to the investigating agencies, the accused had rented a room in Dongri area of ​​Mumbai about 15 days before the incident. Police claim that poisonous capsules were allegedly being prepared at this very place. Police claimed to have recovered zinc phosphide, a large number of empty capsules and about 15,000 ready capsules from the room. According to officials, the alleged aim of the accused was to prepare more capsules than this.

Who is Faiyaz Premji?

Mumbai Police said that on June 27, 2026, Faiyaz Nisar Hussain Premji was detained near Ray Road area. The accused is originally from Pune and has studied Business Administration (BBA). In the preliminary investigation, his foreign trips, financial transactions, mobile phones, digital communications and contacts are also being examined.

The police is also investigating whether the trips made by the accused to foreign countries in the last few years have any connection with this case or not. Officials say that at present no final conclusion has been drawn in this regard and investigation into all aspects is ongoing.
