And inside this fort is the third biggest cannon of India, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj who did not lose a single war in his lifetime. This fort was built by Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ji. To reach this fort, you have to come to this boat jetty built in Rajapuri village and here after purchasing a person boat ticket for ₹ 100, sitting in this wooden sailing boat and enjoying the sea, you have to go near the fort and here the first boat in the morning starts at 8:30.

This Murud Janjira Fort has been built in such a way in this sea that until the enemy army and you reach near this fort i.e. near these stairs, you cannot see this main entrance of this fort at all. During the historical period of this 22 acre fort, when any person living inside this fort went out through this main entrance, he was given a coin bearing the symbol of this state i.e. a currency and only after showing that currency, he was taken back inside.

If anyone did not have the currency of this state, then he was considered an enemy or a spy and his neck was cut with a sword at the main entrance and he was thrown into the sea. As soon as you enter this fort, the first thing you see are these three big cannons kept in this fort. Of which this is India's third biggest cannon, Kalal Bangri. And the weight of this cannon is 22 tons and this cannon is made in Panchdhatu.

That is why this cannon never gets hot even after being fired in harsh sunlight and the firing capacity of this cannon is 10 to 12 kilometers and this cannon has been brought here from outside the fort in different parts. And near this Kalal Bangri cannon, you will also see two other cannons named Gaimukh and Landa Kasam. The range of these two cannons is 4 to 6 km. And their weight is 7 to 8 tons. Now we have come inside the second floor of this fort and this fort has been built in three floors and in this fort there are 22 towers i.e. wash towers of about 90 feet.

And soldiers used to stay inside these wash towers and protect this fort by keeping an eye on the sea from here. And this arch-like architecture and all these pillars have been made in such a way that it can easily bear the weight of this 22 ton cannon placed on top of them and also the weight of other cannons. Despite being surrounded by salt water of the sea on all sides, you will see two freshwater ponds inside this fort.

The people of the royal family living in this fort and the 3000 people of Kohli community and Muslim community who used to live here used the water of this pond and in this big pond, the king had also built a beautiful Sheesh Mahal for his queen, which is now completely destroyed and in the central part of this fort, you will also see some remains of the king's palace. Once upon a time, there used to be a luxurious seven-storey king's palace here. When this fort was not even built at this place

At that time, Raja Ramrao Ji Patil Sardar of Kohli community used to live here along with some people by building a wooden wall and at that time this area was under the control of Nizamshahi of Ahmednagar. Kohli Sardar Raja Ramrao Ji Patil had refused the Nizamshahi's order to vacate this place. Because of this, Army General Piram Khan had entered into this Medcoat of Kohli Sardar by deceit and fraud and killed everyone.

And later the Nizamshahi handed over this place to the Siddhis. So in this way Siddhi Johar had built this fort at this place 550 years ago and it took 22 years to build this fort. The worst thing here is that you are given only 45 minutes to visit this entire fort. Only 5 minutes are spent in getting the ticket. Time is very short and an entry fee of ₹ 25 per person is charged to visit this fort.

This is Padmadurg Fort and this fort was built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in 1675. Because they were failing to conquer Murud Janjira fort and time was also running out. So he had built this Padma Durg Fort, 2 kilometers inside the sea from this beautiful Murud Beach, at a distance of 5 kilometers from this Murud Janjira Fort, so that he could keep an eye on the activities happening in the sea along with Murud Janjira Fort from this fort and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ji had made plans to conquer Murud Janjira Fort from this fort.

And they had also built a bridge inside the sea and when the Siddhis living in the fort felt that Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj had conquered this Murud Janjira fort, then the Siddhis took help from the Mughals and the Mughals deliberately attacked the capital Raigarh. So for this reason Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ji had to leave the campaign of Murud Janjira fort incomplete and go back to Raigarh to save his capital. Otherwise, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was about to conquer this fort and include it in the Maratha Empire.

If you want to go from Murut Beach to Padmadurg Fort then you should come on Saturday and Sunday when there are more people here because when there are less people then the boat does not go there. 1.5 km from Rajapuri village. Inside this mausoleum is the tomb of Sural Khan. Sural Khan ruled from 1707 to 1734. And in front of this big mausoleum you will see these two small mausoleums. These two tombs contain the tombs of Khairiyat Khan and Siddiq Asim Khan. He also ruled here once upon a time. And this entire tomb is made of stone in Indo-Seleucid style. And this place is very beautiful. You must visit this place. We were going towards Nandgaon beach when we saw this beautiful Janjira Palace in the middle of the way.
