42-time Ranji Trophy champions Mumbai have made a great start to the current season with two successive wins in Elite Group D. The team is well on course for yet another successful campaign against Haryana at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy in Bandra Kurla Complex.
The 21-year-old Musheer Khan has been one of the biggest contributors in the game with both the bat and ball. The youngster scored 109 runs off 185 balls with 12 fours and a six in the first innings to help the home team reach a massive score of 430 in their first innings.
Musheer then turned hero with the ball, claiming 6/85 from 31 overs to bowl out the visitors for 270. With this, the youngster became the sixth Mumbai player to score a century and take a fifer in the same game. Former India captain and coach Ravi Shastri was the previous Mumbai player to achieve this feat in the 1990 season.
