Learn how to make small fish
First, clean and wash the fish properly, applying salt.
Once your fish is clean, rub spices into it, such as turmeric, salt, red chilli powder, mustard seeds, red chillies, whole coriander seeds, ginger, garlic, and poppy seeds. Make a fine paste of these and add them to the fish.
While mixing all the spices thoroughly into the fish, add a little mustard oil and mix everything together.
Heat mustard oil in a pan and temper it with mustard seeds, green chillies, and 1 whole red chilli pepper. Add some peeled garlic.
Now add the fish and cook it over low heat. Be careful not to stir the fish repeatedly, as it may break apart.
Flip the fish over every few minutes and cook if you want a gravy consistency. You can add hot water to make a thicker gravy. Alternatively, you can fry it and eat it. Your fish is now ready. Add coriander leaves and serve with roti or rice.
