Bihar Crime News: A very serious incident that puts humanity to shame has come to light from Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. In a village under Maniyari police station area of the district, a minor Dalit student was molested on the way and an attempt was made to forcibly drag her into the bushes. A public representative of the village, i.e. a ward member, who is also a neighbor of the victim, has been accused of this shameful act. After the incident, there is an atmosphere of tension and anger in the entire area. The villagers are demanding strict action against the accused. The family members of the victim reached the police station and lodged a written complaint, after which the police started investigating the matter in depth.
Caught on the way while returning after talking to grandmother
The incident is said to have happened late Saturday evening. According to the victim, she had gone to her bath house at around eight in the night, where her grandmother was present. After making her grandmother talk to a relative on the phone, when she was returning home alone, neighboring ward member Sunil, who was waiting in ambush after finding a deserted place on the way, started chasing her. Taking advantage of the darkness, the accused suddenly caught hold of the student's hand and forcibly stopped her. When the student protested and tried to free his hand, the accused started misbehaving with her. The intentions of the accused were very bad and he started forcibly dragging her towards the nearby Baswari i.e. dense bushes.
Honor saved due to bravery and wisdom of student
At first the minor student was frightened by this sudden attack, but she immediately gathered courage and started making noise with full force. The student called out loudly to her father and family. Hearing the screams of the girl in the silence of the night, the nearby villagers and people present in the fields immediately ran towards the spot. Seeing the sound of people's footsteps and increasing noise, the accused ward member got scared. Seeing himself surrounded, he ran away from the spot, taking advantage of the darkness, leaving the student behind. After this, the scared student somehow reached her home crying and narrated her entire ordeal to her parents. Hearing the girl's words, the ground slipped beneath the feet of the family members.
The accused ran away from home
The student's mother told that her daughter had gone to Bathan only for family work. The entire family is deeply shocked by the kind of cruelty that was attempted on the girl. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the victim's family members got angry and went straight to the house of the accused ward member to complain. However, the accused had already realized that the matter had reached its peak, hence he had already fled after locking his house. The anger of the family members and villagers increased further due to the accused running away. The villagers say that the person whom the people elected as their representative has resorted to such bad behavior.
Written complaint lodged in the police station, demand for strict punishment
The next day of the incident i.e. on Sunday, the victim reached Maniyari police station with her mother and family members. The family members filed a written application against the accused ward member Sunil and requested him to register an FIR and arrest him immediately. The victim's mother told the police officers that her innocent daughter had been misbehaved and if people had not arrived on time, a major disaster could have happened. He has demanded from the administration that such a brute should not be allowed to roam freely in the society and he should be prosecuted under the strictest sections and sent to jail so that no one else can muster the courage to commit such acts in the future.
raid to arrest the accused
Sub-divisional Police Officer i.e. SDPO West-2 Animesh Gyani has issued a statement on this entire matter. He said that an application has been received regarding molestation and misbehavior of a minor girl by her neighbor in Maniyari police station area. The police have taken the matter extremely seriously and the legal process of registering the FIR is being completed expeditiously.
The SDPO clarified that he himself is monitoring this entire matter. All aspects related to the incident and the incident site are being investigated in detail. Police officials say that on the basis of whatever facts emerge in the investigation, very strict legal action will be taken against the accused and soon he will be arrested and sent behind the bars.
