Madhoo has opened up about a shocking on-set moment while filming the 1997 drama Yeshwant with Nana Patekar.
The actress, known for portraying Patekar’s wife in the film, recalled how the Welcome actor slapped her during an intense scene.
In an exclusive interview with No Rush, Madhoo spoke at length about the harsh realities of working with Patekar back in the day.
Reflecting on a scene in the film, she told the outlet, “He slapped me for real. He slapped me so hard that I naturally had tears in my eyes. I was extremely mad at him because we had done rehearsals and he hadn’t done anything like that before. The sudden slap shocked me. And I am so short-tempered that I slapped him back. He hit me and my reflex was to hit him back.”
She also revealed that the actor didn’t allow her to use glycerin, as he wanted the tears to appear real, which prompted her to express genuine emotions during the scene.
However, Madhoo also revealed that, while the environment wasn’t very positive, Nana always treated her with respect.
For the unversed, the actress was previously seen in the 2025 mythological drama Grab it.
