NDTV 24×7 Rebrands as NDTV, Unveils New Identity With 'When It Really Matters'

New Delhi, August 15, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

NDTV has unveiled a new brand identity centered on the tagline. 'When It Really Matters'as the news network moves from its 24-hour television identity to a unified brand across television, digital and emerging platforms.

As part of the rebranding, NDTV 24×7 will now be known simply as NDTVaccompanied by a refreshed visual identity and a new look and feel across its television and digital properties.

The move marks a new phase for the news organization, which has spent more than three decades reporting on India's changing political, social and economic landscape, according to a statement issued by the company.

Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, NDTV, said the term 24×7 had originally signified the arrival of round-the-clock television news. With audiences now accessing news across television, websites, apps, social media, Connected TV and emerging platforms, he said, the designation no longer adequately defines the brand.

“In that world, 24×7 describes a medium. NDTV describes the brand,” Kanwal said, adding that 'When It Really Matters' was intended to define what the organization wants the brand to represent.

He said the new identity seeks to build on NDTV's journalistic and trust-based foundations while adapting to the way audiences consume and engage with news today.

Shiv Aroor, Managing Editor, NDTV, said the new tagline would serve as an editorial guide at a time when audiences face an overwhelming flow of information.

He said the focus would be on distinguishing between developments that merely attract attention and those that have genuine public significance, while continuing to examine the stories, questions and consequences that matter.

The new identity will be implemented across NDTV's television and digital platforms, journalism, public discussions and audience engagement in India and overseas, the statement said.
