NEET Paper Leak Case: NEET The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday filed a charge sheet against 13 accused in a special court in Delhi in the paper leak case. The accused in this case are in judicial custody in the jail. After this paper burst, as many as 21 boys and girls committed suicide across the country due to depression. In this paper leak case, subject experts in the examination process Manisha Mandhare from Pune, Prahlad Kulkarni from Latur, Manisha Havaldar, Tuition Class Director Shivraj Motegaonkar, Prof. Tejas Shah, as well as mediator Dr. Manoj Shirure, Manisha Waghmare, Dhananjay Lokhande, Shubham Khairnar, Yash Yadav, Mangilal Biwal, Vikas Biwal, Dinesh Biwal were arrested. He is currently in judicial custody.

Accused arrested by raids across the country

The higher education department of the Union Ministry of Education had registered a complaint that the question paper of this year’s NEET-UG examination conducted on May 3, 2026 had been leaked. Later this case was handed over to ‘CBI’. The CBI conducted raids across the country including Pune, Latur, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and arrested the accused. Laptops, mobiles and other electronic items were seized in the operation. The bank accounts of the accused in this case have been frozen, and the devices such as laptops, computers and mobile phones seized from the accused have been verified. In the investigation, it was revealed that the paper was cracked before the exam. CBI has informed that the case is being thoroughly investigated.

What is in the charge sheet of ‘CBI’?

“Criminal conspiracy, cheating, perjury, destruction of evidence, Prevention of Corruption Act, Public Examinations (Prevention of Malpractice) Act, 2024 have been registered against the accused. The statements of 360 people from across the country have been recorded so far in this case. In connection with the paper leak, 422 pieces of evidence have been submitted to a special court in Delhi. “Electronic items have been seized from the accused,” said the charge sheet filed by the CBI.
