New Delhi. The CBI investigation into the NEET UG paper leak case has revealed several serious flaws in the exam’s confidentiality. According to the investigating agency’s chargesheet, three subject experts who prepared the question paper at the NTA’s Delhi office allegedly leaked information about the questions through various methods. The investigation also revealed several shortcomings in the confidential section’s security and surveillance, which were exploited to carry out the paper leak conspiracy.
Serious Allegations Against Three Subject Experts
According to the CBI chargesheet, three subject experts from Biology, Chemistry, and Physics were responsible for preparing the question paper in the confidential section of the NTA. The investigation alleges that these experts leaked the question material through various methods. The chemistry expert is accused of memorizing key points of the questions and later, with the help of another person, conducting special coaching classes to educate students on the questions and their correct answers.
Hints Given by Marking in Books
The biology expert is accused of marking relevant paragraphs in NCERT textbooks after returning to the hotel. These passages were later used to provide clues to students in special classes. The physics expert is also accused of briefly noting questions and passing them out.
Limited CCTV Footage Found
The CBI investigation also revealed that the agency was only able to access 20 to 25 days of CCTV footage from the NTA office. This limited the availability of digital evidence and posed several challenges to the investigation.

This revelation has raised serious questions about the security arrangements for NEET UG, one of the country’s biggest entrance exams. The CBI is now advancing the investigation by identifying the roles of the accused, the entire chain of question paper leaks, and others involved in this conspiracy.
