NEET UG re-test 2026 today, read these important rules before going to the examination centre.

New Delhi: It is very important for the candidates going to appear in NEET UG 2026 re-test to understand all the important instructions before the examination. Even small carelessness can create problems in appearing in the examination. This re-examination conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) will be held on 21 June 2026. In such a situation, candidates will have to follow all the rules related to time, documents and examination centre. The most important thing is that without admit card no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination center.

Candidates have been advised to reach the examination center before the scheduled time. The gates of the examination center will open at 11 pm, while candidates should reach the center by 1:15 pm. The last reporting time has been fixed from 1:30 pm to 1:45 pm. After this no candidate will be allowed to enter. The exam will start at 2 pm and end at 5:15 pm. NTA has fixed the total duration of the exam at 195 minutes. This includes time for solving the question paper and additional time for identity verification and other necessary formalities.

Admit card and required documents

All the candidates appearing for the re-test will have to carry with them the admit card downloaded from the official website. The photo, barcode and other information printed on the admit card should be clear and in correct condition. Along with this, a valid original photo identity card will also be mandatory. Documents like Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, School ID or Driving License will be accepted for identification. Candidates must also carry one additional passport size photograph similar to the photograph used in the application form.

Special Instructions for PwBD candidates

Candidates availing the benefit of reservation under Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category will have to bring the relevant certificate. If a candidate is using the facility of scribe, then all the necessary documents and undertaking related to it will also have to be carried with him. It will be mandatory to present these when asked by the authorities. If any kind of self-declaration or undertaking is mentioned in the admit card, then its signed copy will also have to be brought along.

NEET Re-Test 2026: Dos and Don’ts

It is the responsibility of all candidates to follow the rules during the examination. No electronic device of any kind will be allowed inside the examination centre. Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, smartwatches and other gadgets will be completely banned. If a candidate brings such equipment, he/she will have to arrange for them himself/herself outside the examination centre.

Candidates are advised to check the address of the examination center in advance, as the center allotted for re-test may be different from the previous one. During the examination, candidates will have to remain seated in their seats and follow the instructions of the invigilators. Stationary material and water bottles should be transparent so that there is no problem in security check.

Dress Code for Male Candidates

Male candidates have been advised to wear simple and comfortable clothes. They can wear trousers, pants or jeans. It is considered better to wear slippers instead of shoes. Candidates are advised to avoid hats, jewelery or any other item covering the head so that the checking process does not take time.

Dress code for female candidates

Female candidates have been advised to wear leggings, pants or simple attire. They should wear light and normal shoes. One should avoid carrying jewellery, mehendi, handbag or other extra items to the examination centre, so that the entry and security check process remains easy.
