New 'Indulge' edition of MG Windsor EV unveiled, these very special and luxurious features will be available in the festive season

Automobile Desk: With the arrival of the festive season, vehicle manufacturing companies have started launching their new products and special editions in the market to woo the customers. In this series, JSW MG Motor has released the teaser of the new special edition of one of its most favorite electric cars, Windsor EV. The company has named this new model 'Indulge'. Windsor EV is being presented as a special surprise on the occasion of completion of two years of its successful presence in the Indian market.

The performance of Windsor EV in the Indian automobile market has been excellent since its inception. In recent times, it has been continuously maintaining its place in the list of best selling electric vehicles of the country. Even before this, the company has been bringing special versions of its vehicles on festivals and special occasions. Like recently the 2026 model of Hector was launched in the market and before that the Inspire edition of Windsor was also introduced. Now through Indulge Edition, the company is once again preparing to give a completely new and premium experience to the customers.

The initial teaser released by the company clearly indicates that a lot of work has been done on luxury and design in this new edition. Many cosmetic changes will be seen in the cabin of the car to make it more premium and attractive. The biggest change has been made in the interior of the car. This time a very elegant dual-tone combination of tan and black color is being given in the cabin, which gives a very rich and classy look to the interior of the vehicles. Apart from this, 'Indulge' badging will be specifically seen on the headrests of the seats, which gives it a completely different identity from the regular model.

The biggest attraction of this special edition is the new entertainment feature provided for rear passengers. A roof-mounted screen has been added to the cabin for the rear passengers. This screen comes with a flip-down mechanism, which means it can be easily folded up when not needed. This new screen, along with the main infotainment screen on the dashboard, will significantly increase the entertainment levels during long journeys.

Talking about technical features and powertrain, Windsor EV currently comes in the market with two different battery pack options. This includes battery options with 38kWh and 52.9kWh capacity. The smaller battery is capable of covering a range of approximately 332 kilometers on a full charge, while the larger battery pack offers a certified range of up to 449 kilometers on a single charge. The electric motor installed in the vehicle generates maximum power of 136hp and torque of 220Nm. It is believed that the same reliable powertrain setup will be seen in the Indulge edition too, although it is more likely to be launched with a larger battery option of 52.9kWh.

On the price front, the base model of the Windsor EV comes at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) with the company's special Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan. Since many new luxury features, new cabin theme and modern amenities like roof screen have been included in the Indulge edition, it is expected to be priced slightly higher than the standard model. The company may soon reveal its official launch date and prices.
