News Desk. Changes have been made in the payment system for elderly people receiving old age pension in Uttar Pradesh. Under the new system, instead of giving three months pension all at once, it will be sent in two installments. There will be a gap of 45 days between the two installments and in each installment Rs 1,500 will be transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries. More than 68 thousand senior citizens are taking advantage of this scheme in Mathura district.
Pension will come directly into bank account
According to the District Social Welfare Officer, the pension amount will be sent directly to the bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). A total pension of Rs 3,000 for three months will be given in two parts. Officials have advised the beneficiaries to link their bank accounts with Aadhaar, so that there is no problem in payment.
