Delhi. The beginning of October has brought new news of inflation for common people and businessmen. In line with the increase in prices in the international market, the price of aviation fuel (ATF) has been increased by Rs 16 per liter from Thursday and the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has also been increased by Rs 62.59.

However, there is news of relief for common domestic consumers. There has been no change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder used for cooking in homes and it will be available for Rs 942 only. The new prices have come into effect from October 1.

ATF price increased by Rs 16 per liter

Government oil companies gave this information. According to oil companies, the price of ATF for domestic aviation companies has increased from Rs 121 to Rs 137 per liter. Earlier in September, the price of ATF was increased by Rs 6.28 per liter i.e. 5.46 percent.

There was an increase of five rupees per liter in August also. ATF accounts for up to 40 percent of the total operating costs of airlines. In such a situation, fuel prices are a major factor affecting the costs of aviation companies.

With the increase in the price of aviation fuel, the price of commercial LPG has been increased by Rs 62.59 per 19 kg cylinder. In September, the price of commercial LPG was increased by Rs 9.50 per 19 kg cylinder.

Prices had increased rapidly from February to June

Between February and June, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder had increased by Rs 1,373 from Rs 1,740.50 to Rs 3,113.50. After this it was reduced in July and August. The latest changes have been made based on standard price fluctuations in the international market and the rupee-dollar exchange rate.

The price was reduced from July to August

Earlier, its price was reduced by Rs 183.50 and Rs 192 for two consecutive months in July and August respectively. These cuts were made after prices reached record levels in June. At that time, commercial LPG had become expensive due to disruption in global energy supply and high prices in the international market.

Relief in the price of domestic LPG cylinder

At present, it is a matter of relief for common domestic consumers. There has been no change in the price of domestic LPG used for cooking in homes. The price of 14.2 kg cylinder will remain only Rs 942.
