New Zealand's star batsman out due to head injury, will not be able to play the entire ODI series against India

New Delhi
The problem of injuries to the players of the New Zealand cricket team is not stopping during the ongoing five-match ODI series against India. The team’s star wicketkeeper-batsman Devon Conway is also now out of the entire series due to injury. Conway suffered a concussion after colliding with fast bowler Matt Henry while attempting a catch during fielding practice at Eden Park on Tuesday.

Devon Conway out of the entire series
Although Matt Henry was declared fit to play after a concussion test, Conway had to withdraw from the series as his condition did not improve. Due to continuous injuries to players on this tour, the New Zealand team is yearning to field its playing 11. After Conway’s exit from the series, left-handed batsman Nick Kelly, who was selected for the fourth and fifth ODIs, has been called to immediately reach Wellington and join the team.

Tim Seifert was included
Conway could not even play the first ODI played in Auckland due to concussion assessment. Tim Seifert, who was included in the playing 11 in his place, played an inning of 38 runs but the entire New Zealand team was bundled out for just 185 runs and India won the rain-affected match by 5 wickets. Seifert was initially selected for the last two ODIs but after Conway’s injury he was included in the squad for the first three matches.

Many Kiwi players have been injured
This series of injuries for the Kiwi team had started during the T20 series played before the ODI series, which the Indian team won 3-2. New Zealand’s leading all-rounder Rachin Ravindra has already been ruled out of the entire ODI series due to a right shoulder injury and Mark Chapman with a hamstring problem. This absence of senior players has badly affected the Kiwi middle-order and bowling balance.
