What is the new Digital Local Pass?

NHAI has added a new feature in its official app ‘Rajmarg Yatra’ keeping in mind the convenience of the people. This new feature will directly benefit the people living near the toll plaza. Under this, local people can directly apply for local pass through their mobile sitting at home, without going to any office. This facility has been started from Mundka-Bakkarwala toll plaza of Delhi. NHAI says that soon this new feature will be implemented in all the toll plazas of the country, so that more and more people can get its benefit.

Who can apply for toll pass?

This feature can be used only by those people who have their own personal vehicle. Along with this, if a person’s house is within a radius of 20 kilometers from the toll plaza, then that person can easily get his local pass made sitting at home.

How does digital verification work?

Address Verification- Your address is verified online through DigiLocker app.
Vehicle details- Complete information about your vehicle is automatically taken from the government ‘Vahan’ portal.
Distance determination – Computer map (GIS system) ensures that your home is within 20 kilometers of the toll plaza.
