NIA has made a big revelation regarding the Pahalgam attack. NIA said in its charge sheet that the weapons used in the Pahalgam attack were supplied from across the LoC with the help of drones. The terrorists had surrounded and killed the Hindu men. NIA said that after breaking the security cordon, these drones reached the Gogal Dora forest of Baramulla and dropped the weapons there. In this way the weapons reached the terrorists directly from Pakistan.

What did security experts say?

Security experts have raised questions on the basis of the charge sheet. He said that from the year 2022 to 2024, terrorists were roaming openly in the Kashmir Valley. The reason for this is lack of human intelligence. He expressed concern that there was too much reliance on information collected only on technical basis. Experts found that Pakistani agencies have changed the methods of spreading terror. Now instead of infiltration routes, drones are being used. Along with infiltration routes, vigilance will now have to be increased on air routes as well.

Which weapons fell in the forest?

According to the investigation report, the terrorists had mingled among the local people before carrying out the attack in Baisaran Valley. Due to weak local network, information could not reach the security forces. The network appeared weak on the ground. In 2024, 20 Chinese pistols, Rs 15 lakh in cash and Chinese drones were dropped in the forests of Gogal Dora.

However, there was a lack of ground intelligence in the Pir-Panjal region, the effect of which was visible in various areas including Pir-Panjal. For this reason, there was an increase in terrorist incidents in the area.
