New Delhi, 11 May. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey has made serious allegations against the Congress Party regarding Section 370 in Kashmir and the arrest of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee. He held Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru responsible for this and said that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was arrested for opposing Article 370 in Kashmir. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey shared a post on social media platform X, describing the Congress rule as a “dark chapter”.
He wrote that on May 11, 1953, on the instructions of the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, was arrested because Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was opposing Section 370 implemented in Kashmir and the permit system required to go there. Nishikant Dubey claimed that Dr. Mukherjee died under mysterious circumstances in a Kashmir jail after his arrest. He alleged that the matter was “covered up” by the then government.
The BJP MP also said in his post that Dr. Mukherjee had already informed Nehru about his movement, after which Nehru ordered the then Kashmiri leader Sheikh Abdullah and Union Home Minister Kailash Nath Katju to arrest him. Dubey accused the Congress that Nehru had given instructions to suppress the movement before going on a foreign trip. According to him, an attempt was made to ban the organizations that were agitating at that time and also to stop the publication of some major newspapers.
He said that during that period the publication of newspapers like ‘Pratap’ and ‘Milap’ was affected. The BJP MP has also shared a letter regarding this, in which all the details are written. All those things are written in this letter, which shows that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had ordered former Union Home Minister Kailash Nath Katju to arrest Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee.
