‘No sword has the power to bend…’ Vinesh Phogat said amid controversy with WFI

Vinesh Phogat is preparing to give a befitting reply to the show cause notice of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI). Vinesh has targeted WFI by tweeting on Saturday (May 9) and said that no power can bow my head.

WFI has issued a detailed notice to Vinesh accusing her of indiscipline and violation of anti-doping rules. Also, the Federation has declared him ineligible to participate in the domestic tournament till June 26. According to the WFI, Vinesh did not complete the mandatory six-month notice period under United World Wrestling (UWW) anti-doping rules for athletes returning from retirement. This means that the two-time World Championship medalist will have to wait longer to return to the mat.
