According to Aanchal, she pays over 30,000 rupees in rent each month. Additionally, she has to pay a maintenance charge of 3,000 to 4,000 rupees and a separate electricity bill. Despite this, the flooding of the basement after rain has raised questions about the society’s management.
Flooded Basement of an Expensive Society in Noida
In the video, Aanchal sarcastically described the water accumulated in the basement as a “complimentary swimming pool.” She said that the society has flats worth up to 2 crore rupees, and residents spend a significant amount on their homes and vehicles.
Despite this, the state of infrastructure after rain is a cause for concern. She also mentioned the long-running construction and maintenance work in the society. Aanchal said that for years she has been hearing claims that “work is underway to improve the society,” but the basement problem is not being addressed.
Questions raised about the housing society’s amenities
In the viral video, Aanchal also questioned the rents of 30,000 to 40,000 rupees charged by Noida residents, especially bachelors. She questioned whether spending such a sum actually provides better housing and amenities, or just an expensive address. After the video surfaced, many social media users agreed with Aanchal and shared their experiences.
Some users identified the society as Amrapali Sapphire in Sector 46, Noida, although this has not been independently confirmed in the video. Following the post, a debate has intensified regarding the high maintenance and lack of basic amenities in premium housing societies in exchange for rent.
