NSE Holiday 26th June 2026: There will be no trading in the Indian stock market on Friday, June 26. Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) will remain closed on the occasion of Muharram. There will be no trading activity in the equity market on this day.

The effect of market closure will also be visible on the commodity market. The morning session (9 am to 5 pm) in the country’s main commodity exchange Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) will remain closed. However, trading will resume in the evening session from 5 pm to 11:30 pm. At the same time, trading on National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) will remain closed for the whole day.

Market holidays so far in 2026

A total of 16 holidays have been scheduled for the stock market in the year 2026. Nine of these holidays have already taken place. The market was closed for two days in the month of April. Good Friday on 3rd April and Dr. B.R. on 14th April. There was no trading due to Ambedkar Jayanti. After this, the market remained closed on the occasion of Maharashtra Day on 1 May and Bakrid on 28 May.

Next market holidays coming in the year 2026

The next holiday for the stock market after June 26 will be on September 14. After this, the market will remain closed on occasions like Ganesh Chaturthi, Gandhi Jayanti, Dussehra, Diwali and Christmas.
