Odisha Skill Development MoUs Inspire Future Growth

In a monumental stride toward building a future-ready workforce, Odisha has reinforced its leadership in technical education and vocational training.

The State government exchanged high-impact Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with a stellar lineup of global enterprises, industry bodies, and premier educational institutions at a special ceremony hosted at the World Skill Centre in Bhubaneswar today.

Presiding over the event, the Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Skill Development & Technical Education, Shri Sampad Chandra Swain, hailed the agreements as foundational investments in the State’s human capital. “These partnerships are engineered to fuel Odisha’s rapidly expanding industrial ecosystem while equipping our youth with world-class training, high-value employment, and lifelong career growth,” he noted.

The newly minted collaborations focus heavily on tomorrow’s economy. Key areas of intervention include artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, robotics, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, green jobs, and automotive technology. Beyond technical training, the framework supports the establishment of cutting-edge Centres of Excellence (CoEs), comprehensive curriculum overhauls, rigorous trainer capacity building, structured apprenticeships, and robust placement pathways.
