Dubai. The old social media activities of Omani co-pilot Hammam al-Hammami, who allegedly attacked Indian Captain Smit Machar, are now under scrutiny. Some deleted posts that have surfaced mention his alleged strict views on women's clothing, marriage and jobs.

According to reports, around 3,000 deleted posts from the years 2021 and 2022 have been examined. Citing the CNN report, it is said that in a post dated February 2022, Al-Hammami had mentioned looking for a wife who would wear the niqab and quit her job after marriage. According to her post, her mother had found it difficult to find a family for such a marriage.
In another post, she had also raised objections about workplaces where men and women work together. In reports, these posts are being seen as an indication of his outdated views related to women and religious life. However, these social media posts do not automatically prove the motive behind the alleged attack on the flydubai aircraft. The reason and possible ideological connections behind that attack are still under investigation.

Let us tell you that on September 30, 2026, in flydubai flight FZ1073 going from Dubai to Tel Aviv, Al-Hammami allegedly attacked Indian Captain Smit Machar in the cockpit. There were more than 170 people on board that plane. After the incident, the plane made an emergency landing at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia. UAE, Saudi Arabia and Israeli agencies are still investigating this matter.
