Gandhi Jayanti: Today the country is celebrating the 157th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, a tribute program was organized at Rajghat in New Delhi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. International Day of Non-Violence is also celebrated along with Gandhi Jayanti every year on 2 October. On the occasion of his 157th birth anniversary, Bapu’s message of truth and non-violence is being remembered across the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Rajghat in New Delhi and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Bapu’s thoughts and contributions are being remembered through different programs in the country.

Yogi Adityanath remembered truth and non-violence

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on Gandhi Jayanti, remembering the path of truth and non-violence in his message and wished the people of the state on International Non-Violence Day. Yogi said that Gandhiji’s ideals, simplicity and thoughts still provide guidance in building a self-reliant and developed India.

Rekha Gupta remembered Gandhiji’s thoughts

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 157th birth anniversary. She remembered Gandhiji’s thoughts related to truth, non-violence, Swadeshi, self-reliance and Swaraj. She said that Gandhiji’s life journey inspires dedication towards the nation and society.
