After the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022, Starlink was activated by US billionaire Elon Musk's company SpaceX in Ukraine. Starlink is used by the country's military for various important tasks on the battlefield. Notable among them are – communication and coordination, operation of drones, intelligence sharing etc. But recently there has been an outage in Starlink's services claiming to be in Ukraine. According to a report, Kiev suffered heavy casualties in the Starlink disaster in Ukraine. One drone after another fell from the sky like flies. Ukraine's military has seized a drone worth more than $1 million after it lost contact with satellite-based internet services.
A Ukrainian military commander said that when the drones were on their way to attack a Russian military base, Atmka stopped working on their video feed. Starshield loses contact with the drones. Most drones fall out of the sky. The outage forced the army units to stop almost all operations for three days. According to reports, Ukrainian drones are capable of flying at a speed of about 400 kilometers per hour. But due to the outage, their speed dropped to about 64 km per hour. Not only that, the Starlink disaster also reportedly weakened Ukraine's air defense system. Ukrainian interceptor drones that destroy Russian drones were also shut down.
Meanwhile, the US media “The Wall Street Journal” quoted a source as saying that Musk himself had ordered Starlink to slow down. But why? However, it is not known. However, the SpaceX boss blamed Donald Trump's administration for the Starlink outage. “The control of the Starshield rests with the US government. Any restrictions on its speed or use are determined by the US military and ultimately by the US president,” he said. In other words, he took aim at Trump without naming him.
