Salman Khan unveils 'Jai Hind' song from 'Maatrubhumi'

Indian actor Salman Khan gave fans a new update on Maatrubhumi by releasing its song Jai Hind on Dussehra. While the song brought recent attention to the film, fans used the opportunity to ask when it would finally reach cinemas.

The Sultan actor shared the lyrical version of the song on Instagram on October 20. Along with the post, he called for patriotism throughout the year rather than on just a few special occasions.

“2 days out of 365 days to show yr love, respect and patriotism for your mother land is not enough. Saal bhar hona mangta hai boss,” Salman wrote.

He also added that the song was for his followers and mentioned its composers, Himesh Reshammiya and Stebin Ben, in the caption.

Fans ask about Maatrubhumi release date

The song’s release led fans to ask about the film’s theatrical release. Several users left comments on Salman’s post, seeking an update on when they would be able to watch the film.

Maatrubhumi had originally been scheduled for release in April 2026, but the plan was postponed. Reports linked the delay to concerns raised by the Defence and Information and Broadcasting ministries over the film’s portrayal of China.

Recent reports also claimed that the film had received a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry. However, its release date had not been officially confirmed.

The project was initially announced as Battle of Galwan. Its title was later changed to Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film featured Salman Khan as an army officer. Despite the release delay, the actor’s latest song gave fans another update from the project.

The makers had not announced an official theatrical release date.
